Karnataka MLA Demands Attention for Neglected Constituency, Suggests Merger Options

Congress MLA from Karnataka NY Gopalakrishna has made a big statement alleging neglect of his constituency Molkalmuru. He said that if Molkalmuru is not to be given the same attention, then it is better to merge it with the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh. He also suggested the option of merging Molkalmuru with Challakere taluk. Molkalmuru is located in Chitradurga district of Karnataka. MLA Gopalakrishna expressed his displeasure over the development of his constituency and not getting enough importance, saying that other areas are visible to everyone, but Molkalmuru is not visible to anyone. Gopalakrishna said, "Molkalmuru is not visible to anyone. Other places are visible to everyone, but this city is always ignored. Even the MLAs here are not re-elected." He further said that he feels very sad due to the continuous neglect. The Congress MLA said, "This city would have been better merged with Andhra Pradesh or it would have been given enough pain in Challakere taluk."
