Katie Zakaria: Trump's Press Secretary Fired After Five Days

US President Donald Trump's White House Press Secretary Katie Zakaria lost her job in just five days. Zakaria, 41, was giving an interview to the Wall Street Journal on Friday. Then Jason Miller, Trump's senior adviser, approached her. He said Vice President J.D. Vance wanted to talk to her for a while. Zakaria left the interview, but did not return to the interview, nor to her job. What happened in the last five days that her tenure ended? Zakaria faced reporters'questions for the first time in the White House briefing room on Tuesday. She answered only three questions in the briefing, which lasted about 14 minutes. She relied largely on written notes. These questions also came from media organizations that were considered friendly to her. After the first briefing, questions began to be raised about her performance. Discussions began as to see if she had had enough time to prepare for this important assignment. Later, she told herself that she had received less than 24 hours to prepare for the briefing.
