Kerala Government Formation Nears Completion as Congress Considers Top Contenders

The process of government formation in Kerala has now reached its final stage. The observers appointed by the party have submitted their report to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. According to sources, the high command is in no hurry and a decision will be taken keeping in mind three main points. The first is the opinion of the newly elected Congress MLAs, which the observers have recorded through personal interaction. The second important aspect is the views of the UDF coalition partners. The Congress wants to take its smaller parties along so that there is stability in the government. The third and biggest criterion is'mass appeal '. The leadership is looking at which face can best meet the expectations of the people of Kerala. Three big names are currently leading the race for who will hold the key to Kerala's power. The first is organisation general secretary ID1 Venugopal, who has a strong influence in both Delhi and Kerala. The second is ID2 Satheesan, who has a long experience in politics as the leader of the opposition. Ramesh Chennithala, who has the experience of being the number three leader in the assembly.
