Kerala's LDF Government Prioritizes Women's Economic Empowerment

Women's empowerment is possible only when their economic condition is improved. Women's economic capability is needed. Their earning capacity needs to be increased. This is what the Left Democratic Front government in Kerala has worked towards. Speaking at an election rally in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. Assembly elections in Kerala are on April 9. Brinda Karat, a senior CPI (M) leader, said, "The Kerala government thinks that when women's economic condition improves, when they can earn on their own, only then will girls be empowered." She said, "In Kerala, we all know about the Kudumbashree scheme. Nowhere in the entire country, except in Kerala, this kind of scheme has not been done. When the government helps women to make economic decisions through micro-enterprises, easy loans, then only women are able to make their own decisions. And that is what the LDF government in Kerala has done for women." On the other hand, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the LDF government is determined to deliver on its promises. He said, "Kerala has fulfilled the dreams of many people who could not fulfil their dreams."
