King Charles III and Queen Camilla to Make State Visit to the United States

Britain's King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, are due to make a state visit to the United States at the end of April amid the ongoing war with Iran. During the visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla will visit the White House in Washington, D.C., where a state banquet will be hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The royal couple may also travel to Bermuda. Buckingham Palace said the visit will celebrate the historic and modern bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States. The visit is taking place on the advice of the British government. This will be the first state visit by a British monarch since 2007, when the late Queen Elizabeth II, the mother of King Charles, visited the United States.
