Kolhapur Bank Employees' Long-Term Tenure Raises Embezzlement Concerns

Lokmat News Network Kolhapur: In the Kolhapur District Central Cooperative Bank, 380 employees have been camping in one branch for more than ten years and 467 employees for more than five years. NABARD's policy of transferring after three years, despite being criticized by NABARD several times, is not being implemented by the bank. If an employee stays in one place for a long time, then there is an opportunity for embezzlement, which is clear from the fact that 1100 employees are working in other branches, including in Warnanagar, the district bank where the economy of the district is located. NABARD's policy requires the transfer of employees after three years. However, the employees have been camping in one place for the last several years. In this regard, NABARD has been criticized many times. The board of directors is postponing the process of transfer, citing every election, including Lok Sabha, Assembly, Zila Parishad.
