Madan Mitra Hints at Retiring from Politics Amidst Increased Immorality and Violence

Madan Mitra, the TMC MLA from Kamarhati, who is known for his unique style in Bengal politics, has hinted at retiring from politics. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, an emotional Madan Mitra said that immoral activities have increased in the current politics and now he has started hating it. He said that being a part of politics, he also hates himself. However, he has not made any formal announcement about quitting politics. He said that this time on Vijayadashami, he could not meet the people who made him win the election. He cited violence and security concerns as the reason. According to him, there was also an attempt to assassinate him. He claimed that the Chief Minister had also instructed the police in this regard. He claimed that he is very tired of politics and is now thinking of getting away from it. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, an emotional Madan Mitra said that when the number of immoral people increases a lot, it is difficult for him to separate from the Trinamool Congress.
