The Madhya Pradesh government has taken a big decision regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). The state cabinet has approved the draft of the UCC. Now this bill will be presented in the house during the assembly session starting from Monday (July 20). The politics of the state has also heated up about this decision of the government. After the approval of the cabinet, many ministers of the government called it a historic step and put forward their views. State cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said, "Our political journey started from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and we have been in favor of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) since the beginning. We opposed the implementation of Article 370 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. We believed that there cannot be two flags, two constitutions and two heads in one country. This was the first movement of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. In that struggle, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee made the supreme sacrifice for the country. We always remained committed to the same ideology and as soon as we got the opportunity, we abolished Article 370." This should not be applied to every citizen on the basis of any special law.
