Bhopal: Two major fronts have opened up in Madhya Pradesh politics this time. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has called the Uniform Civil Code an attack on the age-old traditions of the tribals. On the other hand, state Congress president Jitu Patwari has warned the government about more than 6 lakh farmers on the verge of becoming'defaulters '. These two issues are not only political, but also related to the social and economic foundation of the state. Patwari has written a letter to the CM pointing out that the state has not been able to overcome its debt crisis. He said that the tribals of India have preserved their unique social structure, marriage customs and inheritance rules for centuries. These traditions have been protected under the 5th and 6th schedules of the constitution. Singhar argues that the introduction of the UCC will break the constitutional shield and the identity of the vast tribal population of Madhya Pradesh will be in danger. On the issue of 6.20 lakh farmers'credit score, Mohan Yadav has written a letter to the CM.
