After Uttarakhand, now Madhya Pradesh is also going to be in the list of states to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) law soon. The final draft of the UCC has been fully prepared in the state. The draft will get official approval in the Mohan cabinet meeting to be held on Sunday. For this historic decision, the Mohan Yadav government has selected Jagdishpur (Destinaton cabinet meeting) near the capital Bhopal. After the cabinet's approval, it will be presented as a bill in the monsoon session of the assembly (20 to 24 July 2026) starting from 20 July. Let us tell you that in February 2026 itself, the Mohan government changed the name of'Islam Nagar'near Bhopal to its historic name'Jagdishpur '. Now the historic palace of Jagdishpur has been selected for the cabinet meeting for a big and historic decision like the UCC. According to many important and big changes have been made in the UCC draft of Madhya Pradesh. The detailed draft of this volume has been prepared by the high-level expert committee headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ranjana Desai after a detailed study.
