Maharashtra Considers Uniform Civil Code Law Amid Growing Demand

Maharashtra's name has now been added to this list. There is now a demand for a UCC-like law in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra government has said that it is consulting with stakeholders regarding a Uniform Civil Code. The move comes after a BJP MLC demanded a law similar to Uttarakhand's in the state assembly. The law promotes uniform laws for citizens of all religions.
