Maharashtra Government Forms Special Investigation Team to Probe Captain Ashok Kharat's Sexual Abuse Case

Special Correspondent, Nashik: The state government has appointed a'Special Investigation Team'( SIT) to investigate serious crimes, including the sexual abuse case of Captain Ashok Kharat. The government has decided to conduct a high-level investigation as the threads of the Kharat case, in which he was in touch with top political leaders, have spread to various districts, including Nashik. Captain Kharat's officeboy suspect Neeraj Jadhav is suspected to be the mastermind of the case. A team led by a woman IPS officer from Pune, Tejaswi Satpute, arrived in Nashik on Thursday to investigate the case. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took serious note of the case and directed the Director General of Police to conduct a thorough investigation and take strict action against the culprits. Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Special Inspector General of Police of the state's Law and Order Department, immediately formed an'SIT'and ordered Tejaswi Satpute, Commandant (IPS) of SRPF's Force No. 1, Pune on Thursday.
