On the eve of the Assembly elections in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has resigned from all honorary posts. Nabanna issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday. Nabanna has clarified that Mamata Banerjee has resigned not from the post of Chief Minister or any other Minister, but from all the appropriate posts, including that of Chairperson or other posts in the Boards, Committees, Commissions or Councils held by her as Chief Minister. The notification has been issued by the Home and Hills Affairs Department of the State Government. The circular has also been attached with Mamata's resignation letter. The Chief Minister has been asked to take immediate necessary action by accepting her resignation from all the posts she holds. Also, the consent letter regarding the acceptance of her resignation has been sent by email by Wednesday. In her resignation letter, Nabanna has written, "I hereby tender my resignation from all the posts mentioned in the attached list with immediate effect.
