Mayawati Expels Nephew Akash Anand from Bahujan Samaj Party Over Alleged Disloyalty

Bahujan Samaj Party National President Mayawati has expelled her nephew Akash Anand from the party. Before this, Mayawati had removed Akash from the post of National Convenor on 3 September 2026. Now she has completely released Akash from the primary membership of BSP and also from the party. Actually, Akash Anand's father-in-law and former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth has announced his retirement from politics. Mayawati said that if he had taken a decision on time, it would not have happened to Akash. Mayawati said that Ashok Siddharth did not take the decision to leave politics at the right time. If he had taken this step earlier, then BSP, Bahujan Movement and Akash Anand himself would not have faced difficult and adverse situations. Mayawati expressed her displeasure over Akash Anand's stance. She raised the issue that Akash Anand used to always report his ex-post, but he did not report Mayawati's post related to Ashok Siddharth. According to Mayawati, this is a clear indication that Akash Anand is preferring family relations to the party.
