Mayawati Expels Nephew Akash Anand from BSP Amid Factionalism in Uttar Pradesh

The internal factionalism of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has now reached a point that has created a stir in the politics of UP. Just before the upcoming UP elections, BSP chief Mayawati has taken a big and tough decision on Thursday (September 10) and has shown the way out of the party to her nephew Akash Anand. This unexpected step of Mayawati has created an uproar among the party supporters and workers. This political drama started a day before, on Wednesday (September 9), when Mayawati put a condition in front of Akash Anand. Mayawati said that if Akash's father-in-law Ashok Siddharth completely retires from politics, she will return Akash Anand to his position and responsibilities in the party. Ashok Siddharth also announced to leave politics, accepting Mayawati's words. But the very next day, Mayawati turned the dice and ordered Akash Anand out of the party.
