Millions Flock to Shiva Temples in Uttar Pradesh for Jalabhishek Rituals

On the first Monday of the month of Sawan, a flood of faith flooded the Shiva temples of Uttar Pradesh. Lakhs of devotees reached the major Shiva temples of the state for the Jalabhishek since morning. The atmosphere of Har-Har Mahadev and Shiv Bhakti enlivened the faith of the Sanatan tradition. More than five lakh devotees performed the Jalabhishek of Baba Vishwanath at Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi since morning. Five lakh Shiva devotees offered water so far at the famous Lodheshwar Mahadev temple in Barabanki. Gola Gokarnnath temple in Lakhimpur Kheri and Budheshwar Mahadev temple in Lucknow also saw a huge crowd of devotees. More than three lakh devotees performed the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva in these two temples so far. On the first Monday of the month of Sawan, the spirit of Kanwariyas is also being seen. Devotees with Kanwar and Bholenath adorned on their shoulders reached the temples and offered prayers with full devotion. In view of the huge crowd of devotees, strict security arrangements have been made by the Yogi Adityanath government in all the districts of Lucknow.
