Modi and Trump Meet at G7 Summit Amid Trade Talks and Tensions

One of the highlights of the visit is his bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump, which will also take place during the summit. India and the US are negotiating a trade deal. PM Modi's bilateral meeting with Trump is scheduled for Wednesday and will be their first face-to-face meeting since the February 2025 talks. The meeting comes days after three Indian sailors were killed on a commercial ship that was attacked by the US Navy in the Strait of Hormuz. This is Modi's 13th visit to France as a guest country at the G7, and PM Modi's seventh consecutive visit to France and Germany, from June 15 to June 17.
