Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Indonesia on Monday (July 6) on the first leg of his three-nation tour. The main purpose of his visit is to take forward India's'Act East'policy (strengthening ties with eastern countries), clear India's vision for the seas, and further strengthen India's promise to keep the Indo-Pacific region free, open and safe for all. Modi was received at the airport by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. PM Modi posted on X after his arrival in Jakarta, "In 2018, we took the relationship of the two countries to the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which has greatly benefited our people. During this visit, President Prabowo Subianto and I will hold discussions with the aim of further accelerating this partnership in various fields. President Prabowo and I will also visit the Prambanan Temple Complex in Yogyakarta. This visit will also strengthen our cultural ties between our two countries and Jakarta. I am also looking forward to the opportunity to interact with the Indian community."
