Modi Meets Sharad Pawar Amid Opposition Party Differences Speculation

The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NCP (Sharad Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar in the middle of the monsoon session of Parliament has given rise to new discussions in political circles. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule was also present in this meeting. Significantly, before meeting the Prime Minister, Sharad Pawar had reached Jantar Mantar, where he supported the protest of student leader Abhijit Dipke and social activist Sonam Wangchuk. This development has intensified speculation about possible differences between the opposition parties. On the one hand, parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party and Shiv Sena (UBT) have taken an aggressive stance against the central government on issues related to student movements and the education system, while Sharad Pawar's meeting with the Prime Minister has raised questions about the opposition's strategy. In recent times, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were detained near the Prime Minister's residence during the protest in support of the student movement. Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray (UBT) also reached Jantar Mantar, where Pawar met the protesters.
