Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, who has been outspoken on the issue of environment and pollution, has once again landed in controversy. Her video giving the message of pollution-free Diwali has now become the cause of a political storm. Earlier BJP leaders questioned her campaign and now Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde has made a big announcement against Dia. The Mayor has made it clear that Dia will no longer be included in the programs and initiatives of the BMC. Not only this, she even called the removal of the video a'lesson'for the actress. In the press conference, Ritu Tawde said that the Mayor should have been informed before including any actor in the public awareness campaign. According to her, the list associated with the video did not come to her for approval and it was directly uploaded on the MyBMC portal. When she was asked if she would not support another woman being a woman, the Mayor said that she definitely supports women, but to serve Mumbai-Hindutva, she also said that if anyone gives such a wrong statement to the actress, then she will get support against Hindutva.
