MUMBAI: The third phase of elections to 17 ward committees in the city was held on Monday. Three of the five committees were elected unopposed, while the election process was carried out for the remaining two committees. BJP corporators won three committees, while Shindesena and MIM won one each. Out of the 17 wards, the BJP-Shindesena alliance won 11 wards, while the Thackeray brothers won three. Elections were held for 11 wards in two phases on Thursday and Friday last week. Mayor Ritu Tawde was elected as the presiding officer of L and N committees, while M East, M West, S and T committees. Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi was elected as the presiding officer.
