Mysterious Death of Mulayam Singh Yadav's Son Prateek Yadav in Lucknow

Lucknow: Prateek Yadav, the younger son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister late Mulayam Singh Yadav, died under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday morning. Prateek Yadav, 38, was brought to the Civil Hospital in Lucknow for treatment, where the hospital director, Dr G P Gupta, declared him dead. Though the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, prima facie it is suspected that he had consumed some poisonous substance. Police have now seized the body, sent it for postmortem, and launched a deeper investigation into the matter. Distancing himself from politics: Prateek Yadav, despite being the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav, was always away from active politics. He was busy with his professional life and had his own gym in Lucknow. He himself was an accomplished fitness trainer and spent most of his time pursuing physical and mental fitness. In 2012, some Samajwadi Party workers demanded a Lok Sabha ticket for him from Azamgarh, but Prateek Yadav never showed any interest in political office and was supported by his mother Sadhna Gupta, wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav, during the year 2012.
