Mysterious Vessel Movements in Strait of Hormuz Raise Questions on Alternative Route

Tehran: The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important waterways, is in the news again. Transportation of mineral oil along this route has been disrupted since the start of the US-Israel conflict against Iran. Oil prices have skyrocketed around the world. While tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have persisted, mysterious movements of three large vessels have now been observed. These vessels did not use the old route but took another route. Indicating the search for an alternative route, a large oil supertanker and an LNG ship were seen sailing eastward through the central part of the Strait of Hormuz. Notably, these three vessels were sailing very close to the coast of Oman. Transportation through Hormuz was largely through Iranian waters, but these three vessels took a route very close to the coast of Oman. These vessels were managed by the same company. Why did all the vessels change their route from Oman to China?
