NDA Sweeps Puducherry Elections, Vijay's Party Emerges as Strong Third Force

Puducherry, Dec 4: In the picturesque union territory of Puducherry in southern India, the saffron wave swept Puducherry today and the sound of namaste છે.મતગણતરીમાં trends were in favour of the NDA right from the start. Making good on the exit poll predictions, Chief Minister N Rangasamy and the BJP alliance touched the magic figure of majority by leading in more than 16 seats. The result of the enthusiastic turnout of over 9 lakh voters is clearly visible today in the form of confidence in the development work of the ruling party. The biggest upset in this election has been actor Vijay's new party VSW. Thalapathy's magic seems to have worked in Tamil Nadu as well as in Puducherry as his party has emerged as the third force with a strong hold on 4 seats. On the other hand, the Congress, which once dominated Puducherry, has been reduced to just 3 seats each. Popular leaders like A Namassivayam from Manadipet and Ramalingam from Raj Bhavan વી.પી are strengthening their alliance with the BJP.
