Nepal's Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads in 23 Seats After Historic House of Representatives Election

According to the vote count so far, the RSP has had an excellent performance. Elections to the House of Representatives in Nepal were held on 5 March. Counting of votes for which has begun. RSP was leading in 23 seats. Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are leading in three seats each. RSP is proving by its good performance that it is popular among the youth. According to the Election Commission Commissioner, the counting of votes is continuing. It may be completed by Friday night. In Nepal, voting was held for the House of Representatives. 60 percent of the candidates were found to have voted. This is the first election in Nepal since the Gen Z movement. Nepal is awaiting the final results of the general election for its 275-seat House of Representatives on 5 March. Among the new parties, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has presented itself as an alternative to traditional parties such as the Communist Party of Nepal and the Nepali Congress. In 2022, the RKSP had won 13 seats in the direct elections and 4 seats in the televoting of Lamichhane.
