New Centralized System Simplifies Provident Fund Claim Process

Regional Provident Fund Commissioner I. Suyash Pandey said that so far the claim process used to take more time due to multiple levels of scrutiny and different windows. After the implementation of the new centralized system, this process will be simpler and the claim settlement will be much faster than before. Advertisement He said that in the new system, as soon as the employee applies for the claim, the system will tell whether he is eligible for the claim or not and if eligible, the amount he can claim. This will not further process ineligible or incorrect applications, which will reduce the claim rejection rate. Another major advantage of the advertisement system will be that the interest will accrue to the account holder till the day the claim is settled. This system will be applicable to all types of claims related to PF from July 1. All the records related to PF will be available on the centralized system. The account holder's details can be seen from any part of the country. The multiple windows will automatically display the eligibility and the amount of the claim till the date the claim is processed.
