Nitish Kumar Meets JD-U MPs to Discuss Bihar's Development and Public Interest Issues

Janata Dal-United (JD-U) national president and Rajya Sabha member Nitish Kumar held a meeting with party MPs in Delhi on Wednesday (August 12, 2026). The focus of the meeting was Bihar. During the meeting, Nitish Kumar discussed Bihar's development, public interest issues and contemporary political issues. According to a statement issued by the party, former Bihar chief minister Kumar directed the MPs to raise issues related to the state's interests and public welfare effectively in Parliament and work with full commitment as per the expectations of the people. During the meeting, various topics related to Bihar's development and public interest were also discussed. Party's national working president and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Kumar Jha, MPs Dileshwar Kamat, Devesh Chandra Thakur, Kaushlendra Kumar, Dr. Alok Suman, Sunil Kumar, Vijaylaxmi Devi and Rampreet Mandal were also present in the meeting. JD-U MP Sanjay Jha, on the other hand, praised the Chief Minister for ending the role of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Bihar.
