Notorious Gangster Sujeet Sinha Killed in Police Encounter in Jharkhand

Jharkhand's most wanted and notorious gangster Sujeet Sinha was killed in a police encounter late on Sunday night. The encounter took place in Jamtara district when the police were taking him from Sahibganj Divisional Jail to Dhanbad Jail. According to the police, Sujeet Sinha tried to escape on the way and the encounter took place during this time. According to initial information, Sujeet Sinha said he had gone to defecate when he reached near the Jamtara border. When the police stopped the vehicle, he allegedly snatched a policeman's rifle. Then taking advantage of the darkness, he ran away and fired at the police team. The sudden incident created panic at the spot. The police retaliated in self-defence, in which Sujeet Sinha was seriously injured. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. After the incident, the police cordoned off the entire area and carried out an intensive search operation. Senior police officers also reached the spot and took stock of the entire incident.
