Owaisi Warns Against Ignoring SIR Notices, Questions Caste Census Conduct

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has appealed to the people that whoever has received a notice in the SIR process, "they will have to respond to the notice. We will support you if the case is dismissed." He also said that "Amit Shah has said that NRC will be implemented soon, so it may be done on the basis of the SIR voter list. So, respond to the notice." He has warned people that "you may not only lose your right to vote, but also lose your citizenship." On a possible alliance for the Uttar Pradesh elections, he said, "If there is an alliance with anyone, we will tell you." Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday raised serious questions on the manner in which the ongoing caste census is being conducted across the country. He said that asking people to fill the questionnaire themselves is not an effective way. Speaking to the media, he said that although taking a general census and a national census under the Telangana law is a logical part of it.
