Pakistan's Military Power Shift: One Person to Control Entire Military and Strategic Command

Pakistan, the nefarious neighbour roaming around the world, has made a major change in its military system, which has again raised serious questions on the democratic structure of the country. Pakistan's National Assembly has approved amendments to the'Defence Forces of Pakistan Act, 2026'and the'National Command Authority Act, 2010 '. With this approval, it is going to be the first time in Pakistan's short history that the entire power of Pakistan's military and strategic command will now be in the hands of one person and that person is Field Marshal Asim Munir. The point to be noted is that how much this change is beneficial for Pakistan and its people is only a doubt. However, one thing is clear from this decision that Asim Munir has now been given unbridled power by the government of Pakistan. Well, more thought is that this power has been handed over to Munir at a time when Pakistan is struggling with economic crisis and turmoil.
