Pappu Yadav Attacked During Press Conference in Delhi

Pappu Yadav, MP from Purnia in Bihar, was attacked at his residence in Delhi when he was holding a press conference. He was reportedly attacked with a knife and slippers were thrown at him. People present at the spot caught the attacker and handed him over to the police. Pappu Yadav's media advisor has alleged that the police took the accused away, but Pappu Yadav's security was not looked after. Pappu Yadav said, "I did not insult Sanatan. Had it not been for the public, we would have died today." Police have taken the knife. According to a Delhi Police source, the accused is Sumit, 34 years old. No previous criminal record has been found yet. The accused works as an ironworker in Ghaziabad. Sumit is originally from Bulandshahr. A supporter of Pappu Yadav, who was present at the time of the clash, said, "They were sitting in the press conference, when suddenly four people came there.
