Parliament Budget Session 2026: Opposition Seeks Speaker's Removal Amid Tensions Over Motion

The main issue is the motion brought by the opposition to remove the Lok Sabha Speaker from his post. This is expected to cause a lot of ruckus in the House even today. Opposition members have alleged that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla acted in a'partisan'manner while conducting the proceedings of the House. The no-confidence motion was to be discussed on Monday, but due to the opposition's demand to discuss the situation in West Asia, all the proceedings could not be adjourned for the day.
