Party Overhauls State Executive Ahead of Assembly Elections

In view of the assembly elections to be held next year, the party has replaced many old faces who have become MLCs and MPs in the state executive this time. The number of office bearers in the new state executive has been increased from 41 earlier. The total number of state general secretaries, vice-presidents and ministers is now 46. Apart from this, there is a list of 64 office bearers including six regional presidents, six morcha presidents, three office ministers and a minister of state. There are 27 general and 30 OBC, 6 SC and 1 ST office bearers. There is a greater focus on non-Yadav OBCs among backward castes. There are a total of 38 office bearers from Purvanchal and Awadh in the new team in terms of region. 23 office bearers from western UP and Braj region have been included in the new team. To further strengthen the election management, 17 posts of vice-president have been increased to 19 while 12 new faces have been made vice-presidents out of the old 17 members. While 5 members have been made vice-presidents, 8 have been made vice-presidents.
