Peaceful Election Held at Dumariyaganj Bar Association in Shahpur

Shahpur: The election to the Tehsil unit of Dumariyaganj Bar Association was held peacefully on Friday. The results were declared after the completion of the voting and counting process, in which Indramani Pandey was declared elected for the post of president and Mohammad Hussain for the post of general secretary. The voting began at 10 am as per the pre-decided election process, which went on till 3 pm. After the counting process was completed, the results were announced. Advocate Vinod Kumar Dwivedi, the election officer, and Awadhesh Kumar Rahi, the assistant election officer, said that out of the total 69 voters, 59 advocates exercised their franchise. Two votes each were found invalid for the post of president and general secretary. Advocate Indramani Pandey got 41 votes, while his rival Advocate Abdul Qayyum got 16 votes for the post of president. Mohammad Hussain Hussain Pandey, the junior general secretary, was declared elected for the post of president and Mohd Hussain Mishra, the junior general secretary, got 38 votes.
