The land is presently vacant and, as per revenue records, is owned by NMC. Apart from the parking reservation, an area of approximately 1,530sqm falling within an adjoining 18-metre-wide road is also affected, taking the total area under the proposed modification to around 2,826sqm.Civic officials stated that the existing parking reservation and road layout were creating technical hurdles for the planned expansion of the new Vidhan Bhavan. The triangular plot at Mouza Sitabuldi, originally part of NMC's Zero Mile development project, will now be repurposed for the Vidhan Bhavan expansion plan. While NMC will receive 938.91sqm from the govt printing press premises and monetary compensation of around Rs7 crore for the shortfall, the civic body's broader vision for Zero Mile will face delays.Get an chance to win ₹5000 Amazon Voucher by taking part in India's Biggest Habit Index!
