PM Modi Arrives in UAE; Supreme Court Cancels Bail for Sengar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in the UAE. PM's plane was escorted by a UAE F16 jet. PM Modi was received by the President on his arrival in the UAE. He was also given a guard of honour. The Supreme Court has cancelled the order of the Delhi High Court suspending the life sentence of Kuldeep Singh Sengar and granting him bail. The High Court had granted bail while suspending the life sentence of Kuldeep Singh Sengar. Earlier the Supreme Court had stayed the order of the High Court on the CBI appeal. The bench of CJI Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi directed the Delhi High Court to decide the matter afresh within 2 months. RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha in Delhi said on the fuel price hike: "This government has no sense of public sentiments. There will be a lot of harm from'One Nation, One Election'in this country. I want elections to be held for 12 months because this government is afraid of elections. It (the fuel price hike) will have a cascading effect on our areas." The Supreme Court has said that the Surya Kant report will not be published till then.
