Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a four-day visit to two countries, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, beginning on Saturday (29 August 2026) and concluding on Tuesday (1 September). The Ministry of External Affairs held a press briefing on Thursday (27 August 2026) to share information about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming foreign visit. Addressing the press briefing, Foreign Secretary (West) Siby George said, "PM Modi will visit Uzbekistan from 29-30 August 2026 and will visit Kyrgyzstan from 31 August to 1 September, where he will attend the 26th SCO Summit." He said, "His Excellency Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, will accompany Prime Minister Mirziyoyev on his fourth state visit to Uzbekistan."
