Political Tensions Simmer in Shimla as Protests Erupt

Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, on Wednesday (July 22) was a day of high political tension and commotion. The city witnessed two major political upheavals one after the other. On the first day, BJP and SFI workers came face to face at CTO Chowk, and then Congress gheraoed the BJP office as the evening wore on. On both occasions, the police had to work hard to control the situation. On Wednesday (July 22), a tense situation arose at CTO Chowk in Shimla when BJP and SFI workers came together to protest. BJP workers were shouting slogans against the Congress government in the state, while SFI workers were on the streets in protest against the lathicharge on students in Delhi. Meanwhile, workers of both organizations came face to face with each other and started sloganeering. As soon as the atmosphere turned tense, the police force was deployed on the spot.
