The rains in Maharashtra may have brought some relief, but now people have a big problem of dangerous potholes on the roads. Ghodbunder Road, the main national highway connecting Delhi and Mumbai, is in a very bad condition. A pothole on the road has been found to be about 7 feet in length and about 3 feet in width. Politics has also heated up about these potholes. Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation Mayor Dimple Mehta has said that the Municipal Corporation does not have money to fill potholes, after which the Shiv Sena has given an ultimatum to the administration. The potholes on Ghodbunder Road are so big that they remind of potholes on the surface of the moon. These potholes have slowed down the speed of vehicles completely. The situation is so bad that long queues of vehicles are formed from Kajupara in Bhayander to Vasai-Virar. People are stuck in jams for hours.
