PPSC Releases PCS Mains Results Amid Allegations of Irregularities and Political Crisis

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) released the results of PCS Mains 2026 late at night on 4 November 2026. These results have created a major political and administrative crisis in the state. As soon as the results came out, the candidates alleged serious irregularities in the selection process, after which the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded a CBI investigation into the matter, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of patronizing the'paper leak mafia '. The claims that the candidates have made by analyzing the results together raise serious doubts about the transparency of the selection process. PPSC had shortlisted 751 candidates for interviews for 331 posts. But the candidates allege that this time the standard procedure was not followed, in which three times the number of candidates are usually called for interviews. According to the candidates, 10 to 11 candidates were selected from different rooms of the four examination centers.
