Prashant Kishor Takes Oath as Bihar MLA After By-Election Victory

Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraj, has officially become an MLA from Monday. Prashant Kishor has taken the oath of membership of the Legislative Assembly. Bihar Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar administered the oath to Prashant Kishor. After taking the oath of membership of the Assembly, Prashant Kishor said that it is a matter of pride for him that he has taken the oath of membership of the House, whose members have been leaders like Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, Krishan Singh, Anugrah Narayan, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sushil Modi and Ram Vilas Paswan. Prashant Kishor said that he wants to live up to the expectations of the people as an MLA. Prashant Kishor is the founder and former political strategist of Jan Suraj Party. He announced to contest the by-election from Bankipur seat in Bihar. After the election was over on 30 July 2026 and the results were declared on 3 August, Prashant Kishor won this election. He defeated Neeraj Kumar of BJP by 18,953 votes. It was PK Kishor's first election to work in the political field as a strategist for eight years.
