Prashant Kishor Takes Oath as MLA in Bihar Assembly After By-Election Victory

Prashant Kishor, the mastermind of Jan Suraj, has now formally become a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. On Monday, he took oath as an MLA in the office chamber of the Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar. This political innings of Prashant Kishor has now formally started after winning the Bankipur by-election by breaking the stronghold of the BJP. PK reached the gate of the Assembly around 10:30 in the morning and greeted the people. Then along with other leaders, including the State President Manoj Bharti, reached the Speaker's chamber. In the counting of the Bankipur by-election on 3 August, Prashant Kishor had defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha by a margin of 19,246 votes. He got a total of 64,117 votes, which was 49.23% of the total votes cast. While BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha got 44,794 votes, which is 34.4%.
