President Murmu Addresses Nation on India's 80th Independence Day: Emphasizing Development, Justice, and National Interest

President Droupadi Murmu is addressing the nation on the eve of 80th Independence Day. She said that we are moving ahead with the goal of making India a'developed India'by 2047. She said that'every citizen is contributing to nation building.'The President said that it is the duty of every person associated with the justice system to ensure that no one is deprived of justice due to lack of resources. President Murmu gave a strong message to Pakistan that'Operation Sindoor'proved the capability of the Indian Armed Forces to carry out precision strikes against terror networks. The President said that suspending the Indus Water Treaty with a country that harbours terrorism is a decisive step in the national interest, especially for farmers. The President said that the government is taking comprehensive steps to improve public examinations, curb malpractices and bring transparency to the youth. President Murmu further said that the recent successful rocket launch by an average young team of 28 years shows the valour of the armed forces and that Murmu Murmu has been awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry on the eve of Independence Day 2026.
