New Delhi: The second half of the Budget Session of Parliament today witnessed high political heat in the Lok Sabha. Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, during her speech, launched a scathing attack on the central government. She asserted that Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has never bowed down to this government in the last 12 years and the government is unable to digest the truth spoken by him. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, while praising Priyanka Gandhi during the debate, took a jibe at the Congress, saying that the performance of the Congress would have been better if Priyanka had been made the leader of the opposition instead of Rahul. She added, "Priyanka ji at least sits in the house, listens and laughs." Replying to this comment, Priyanka said, "I was laughing because BJP leaders who criticise Nehru day and night, today are taking Nehru's words to justify their arguments."
