Protesters Use Offline Messaging Apps at Jantar Mantar Amid Internet Blackout

A new technology has come into the discussion between the CJP and the student protest going on in Delhi's Jantar Mantar. It is being said that some protesters are using messaging apps that do not need the Internet or mobile network to run. That is why the Delhi Police is also trying to find out how these apps work and whether the messages sent with the help of these can be tracked. The protesters are alleging that jammers have been installed in the entire area and because of this there is no network and internet in the mobile. Usually apps like WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal use the Internet to send messages. But there are some special apps that use Bluetooth and sometimes Wi-Fi Direct instead of the Internet. That is, if the mobile data is closed, 4G-5G is not working or the Internet is closed, then these apps can send messages for some distance. Mesh Apps are the easiest to send messages in your phone's feature phone up to 100 meters away.
