That is why it has been decided to intensify the agitation. With the announcement of the strike, a large number of PUNBUS and PRTC employees have started a concrete sit-in at Sangrur Bus Stand. The protesting employees are protesting against the new policy of the government. They say that under the new system, the employees will be made to work as outsourced employees for the first five years. Even after this, the service will be taken under a different system for the next ten years. The employees allege that there will be a possibility of getting a permanent job only after this whole process. The employees say that the provision of regular service after six years of service, but due to the new policy, their work will be affected.
