Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday said that all Sikh MLAs and cabinet ministers will appear before the Akal Takht, where they have been summoned on June 29 in connection with the anti-sacrilege law. Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj had on June 15 summoned all Sikh MLAs and Sikh ministers to appear before the Akal Takht on June 29 in connection with the anti-sacrilege law. Non-Sikh cabinet ministers have been asked to give their opinion in writing on the matter before June 29. The Akal Takht and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had earlier objected to the anti-sacrilege law'Jagat Sri Granth Sahib (sacrilege), 2026'and the Sikh Panth Amendment Act '.
