Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Fails to Appear in Defamation Case Hearing

Former MLA Nazar Singh Manshahia had filed a defamation case against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The case was heard in the Mansa court today. However, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann did not come to the court and now the case will be heard on May 20. Mann's lawyer filed an application in the court and said that today there is a special session of the assembly. That is why the Chief Minister cannot appear in court in person. Therefore, the court has given a new date for the hearing by accepting this application. In fact, the Mansa court had directed CM Mann to appear in court in person today on May 1. The court had also said that if he does not appear, legal action can be taken to cancel his bail. Let us tell you that a defamation case was filed against him after the then MLA Nazar Singh Manshahia joined the Congress. Despite the order to appear several times so far, Bhagwant Mann did not appear in the court. Now it is to be seen that the court or the CM of the House can not appear in the court today.
