Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the Halwara International Airport in Ludhiana. Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal was also present during the visit. Chief Minister Mann said that the Sahnewal Airport would be used as a pilot training center for the youth. He informed that aviation centers are already functioning in Patiala and Amritsar. After getting training from here, the youth are successfully working as pilots and in other jobs related to the airport. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that there are plans to use the Sahnewal Airport in the future for the training of the youth. He said that the passengers have got a lot of convenience after the flights started from Halwara Airport. The Punjab government has enough land to expand the terminal and apron of this airport in the future. Many passengers going to London from Halwara have been spoken to. Their luggage has been kept here and they will leave for their destination by another flight from Delhi. The Chief Minister also said that three years ago, the name of Halwara Airport Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha has also been passed to the Civil Aviation Ministry.
