Punjab Congress Retains Leadership Ahead of Assembly Elections

The list was released by the party high command regarding the Punjab Congress. Charanjit Singh Channi was not made the president. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa had also put his weight behind becoming the president. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring will continue to be the president of Punjab Congress. Partap Singh Bajwa will remain the leader of the legislature party. Channi has been made the chairman of the campaign committee. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has been made the chairperson of the core committee of Punjab Congress. Vijay Inder Singla will be the chairperson of the election management and coordination committee. Amar Singh has been made the chairman of the manifesto committee of Punjab. The Congress has not made any changes in the organization before the Punjab assembly elections. There were talks that there may be a change in the leadership in Punjab Congress. The party central leadership has retained Amarinder Singh Raja Warring as the Punjab Congress president and Pratap Singh Bajwa as the leader of opposition. Senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee Sukhjinder Singh Danny, Rajkumar Verka and Sangat Singh Gijlian have reportedly been appointed as the working presidents of the state unit of the party.
